Round the World Trip (Part 1) - London

After the Concorde flight we spent about one day in London, this was not really enough time to do any real sight-seeing but we did have enough time to ride on the The London Eye, the large Ferris wheel erected during the Millenium celebration.

The capsules are quite spacious and the views from the top of the wheel are simply breath-taking.

We spent the night in a hotel that was literally half a block from The New Scotland Yard so we felt very safe. The gargoyles on the left of the pictures are the entrance to our hotel and the big glass building in the background is The Yard.

Of course we had to visit Buckingham palace and - along with about half the population of the planet - watched the fuzzy hats parade around.

At least half of the participants were pretty tired by the time we jumped on the tube (motto: Mind The Gap!) to go to the airport for the next flight.
